Server monitoring

Install the agent

One-line install command and enrollment token for server monitoring.

UI: Sidebar → Servers → Add host

Each server gets a unique install command with an enrollment token:

curl -fsSL https://app.statusloop.dev/install.sh | sh -s sl_install_...
  1. Open Add host and copy the command.
  2. Run it on the machine you want to monitor (macOS or Linux).
  3. The agent installs to ~/.statusloop/ — no sudo required.
  4. Within about a minute the server appears as up in the dashboard.

Down detection

  • Minimum threshold: 45 seconds without a heartbeat
  • Effective threshold: max(45s, interval × 2.5)
  • Statuses: up, down, pending, uninstalled

Notifications default

New agent registrations use No notifications (notificationMode: "none"). Assign an escalation policy on the server Notifications tab when you're ready for alerts.
