Outages become incidents

A failed check opens an incident you can filter, acknowledge, and resolve. The red dot is still there. The timeline is the part you work from.

A failing check used to be a color on a row. It is now something with a start, an owner, and an end.

  • Monitors open an incident when they go down. Healthchecks and servers do the same once those checks exist.
  • The list filters are All, Ongoing, and Resolved. Each incident has a short code like #PREFIX-n.
  • On a monitor incident you can acknowledge, escalate to a teammate, and resolve. Healthcheck and server incidents can be resolved, and that is all — they are not acknowledged, escalated, or published to a status page.
